Mr. Feere was Director of Investigations from 2021 until 2025, when he returned to his position as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Chief of Staff. He previously served in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at ICE as the Senior Advisor to the Director and as ICE’s Chief of Staff from January 2017 to January 2021, a political appointee of the Trump Administration.
Mr. Feere has worked at the Center in different positions, starting in 2002. He received his B.A. in political science and communications from the University of California, Davis and his J.D. from American University's Washington College of Law. While in law school he worked in the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee, specifically, the Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims. He also interned as an Assistant Prosecutor for the Montgomery County Maryland Office of the State's Attorney.
Mr. Feere has been quoted by the national media including the Associated Press, Washington Post, Washington Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and many other newspapers. He also has appeared on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, PBS News Hour, One America News, and is often a guest on radio stations throughout the country.
Mr. Feere's editorials have appeared in various publications including the Daily Caller, TheHill.com, The National Interest, U.S. News & World Report, Washington Times, The Christian Science Monitor, Townhall Magazine, and Jurist.
