James R. Edwards, Jr.
Former Fellow
James R. Edwards, Jr. joined the Center in 2009 as a fellow. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in the political, public policy, and communication arena. Edwards was Legislative Director for a member of the House Immigration Subcommittee. He was an Adjunct Fellow with the Hudson Institute for a decade and was selected as a 1998 Lincoln Fellow by the Claremont Institute. Edwards authored, with James G. Gimpel, The Congressional Politics of Immigration Reform (Longman, 1998). He earned his doctorate at the University of Tennessee, and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Georgia.
