DREAMers, Conservative Allies Demand Full Amnesty for All Illegal Aliens

By Ronald W. Mortensen on January 3, 2013

Bolstered by the re-election of President Obama, the foreign-born children of illegal aliens (DREAMers) are now demanding that all illegal aliens be granted amnesty from both the violation of federal immigration laws as well as from the multiple job-related felonies that they have committed.

The legislative language granting illegal aliens amnesty from a wide range of crimes including Social Security fraud, tax evasion, tax fraud, perjury on I-9 forms, and identity theft was written during the Bush administration (S. 1348, Sec. 604) and it will simply be inserted into the Obama administration’s amnesty bill.

In return for the support of "conservative" business groups, DREAMers will support full amnesty for employers who have hired illegal aliens, evaded payroll taxes, and facilitated identity theft, perjury on I-9 forms, and Social Security fraud. Language for this employer amnesty also already exists (S. 1348, Sec. 605).

In order to ensure that illegal immigration-related crimes go unpunished, amnesty legislation will prohibit civil servants from reporting illegal alien and employer crimes that they discover while processing amnesty applications. Thus, federal employees will be forced to violate their oath of office and to renounce the promise that they made to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States", which includes "establish justice".

Specifically, the amnesty provisions will:

  1. make it impossible for civil servants to advise the parents of hundreds of thousands of American children that their sons' or daughters' Social Security numbers are being used or by illegal aliens despite the long-lasting harm done to these innocent children,
  2. stop civil servants from referring the millions of illegal aliens who have committed job-related felonies to law enforcement for investigation and prosecution, and
  3. preclude civil servants from turning in employers who have knowingly hired illegal aliens, evaded payroll and other taxes, and/or facilitated Social Security fraud and identity theft.

Under the amnesty provisions, if civil servants uphold their oath of office and turn in illegal aliens or their employers for violating federal and state laws, they will be subject to a $10,000 fine and loss of employment rather than being recognized and rewarded for their service to the country.

Thus, the Obama administration's amnesty will provide "mercy" for criminal illegal aliens and their crooked employers by sacrificing innocent American children for their benefit. This will be mercy without justice since the government simply turns its back on its most vulnerable citizens and their families.

Pro-illegal alien business, media, political, and religious leaders, along with ostensibly conservative groups ranging from Grover Norquist's Americans for Tax Reform to the Utah-based Sutherland Institute will likewise throw innocent American children under the bus for their own benefit and for the benefit of illegal aliens. At the same time, these groups will skillfully use the DREAMers as a front group to achieve their broader amnesty goals.

The advocates for illegal aliens will also wage a massive disinformation campaign to maintain the myth that illegal aliens who routinely commit job-related felonies are simply law-abiding "immigrants" trying to make an honest living. However, they will not show compassion for the innocent American children who suffer terrible, long-lasting harm from illegal aliens' employment-related crimes. Finally, they will ignore the culture of corruption that accompanies illegal immigration and permeates American society at all levels.

The only chance of stopping this travesty of justice and the sacrifice of thousands of innocent American children for the benefit of illegal aliens and their corrupt employers is for law-abiding citizens, led by the parents of the victims, to oppose it. However, given the massive propaganda campaign that will be undertaken by powerful interests and their highly paid lobbyists in favor of amnesty, the task may be too much for them this time around.
