Author Otis L. Graham talked about his book, Unguarded Gates: A History of America's Immigration Crisis, published by Rowman and Littlefield. In the book, the author examines American immigration policies from the 1880s through the present. He discussed many issues including poverty, assimilation, environmental protection, and multiculturalism. He argued that failure to secure American borders will lead to further security risks and social fragmentation. Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies moderated and provided additional commentary. Following his remarks, Mr. Graham responded to questions from the audience.
