Many Are Called, Few Are Chosen — Or, Early Returns for the DACA Amnesty

USCIS has given us the first numerical count of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, and they follow:

The obvious problem — other than the huge difference between input and output — is that we do not know how many of the 29 completed cases were approved and how many were denied.

This is typical of many USCIS statistics; much information about process, but little or none about results, or at least results that are understandable.

Or is the agency assumption that we all understand that the only possible meaning of "completed" is "granted". That seems to be the assumption in news reports, such as this one. In that case, it would be good to know how many were denied.

Perhaps a clarification will be forthcoming from the agency.
