Giving Tuesday 2022

Support the Center for Immigration Studies

By CIS on November 29, 2022

More than 2.7 million illegal aliens crossed the southwest border in the last twelve months, breaking the previous annual record by more than one million.

This unfolding humanitarian and national security disaster has been enabled by the current administration and largely ignored by the media. The seriousness of the situation, and the political and ideological blindness to it, makes the Center’s job ever more important.

Over the past two years, we’ve chronicled the impact of every new immigration policy, explaining in detail the decisions that have undermined border security and dismantled interior enforcement. We’ve defined the scope of the problem and offered workable alternatives to reverse this national crisis.

Our prodigious annual workload of nearly a thousand articles, reports, and commentaries is relied on by members of Congress, judges, state and local policymakers, law enforcement officials, academics, and other writers and researchers to develop and implement policies to help fix our broken immigration system. The Center is the only group dedicated exclusively to providing this research from the perspective of the broad national interest.

Despite a staff of fewer than two dozen people and a relatively small budget, we have nonetheless remained instrumental in the debate. Our writers, including a number of former high-ranking immigration officials, provide a voice of reason among the noise of special interests and identity politics. We not only compete with much larger and better-funded organizations pushing an anti-borders agenda, but also with an administration effectively attempting to dissolve the border and a complicit media.

With your help, we will continue to expose the fiscal, economic, and social upheaval resulting from the current crisis. On this Giving Tuesday, you can invest in the national interest with a tax-deductible donation in support of our important work.
