Three years ago, we suggested that a good way to cope with increasing migration from Central America would be to build a sturdy fence along a little-used railway across the waist of Mexico, the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
On April 5, the Washington Post quoted Mexican Interior Minister Olga Sánchez Cordero as calling for a "'containment' belt across Mexico's narrowest point, the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, to block their [the migrants] passage."
