Panel Video: Mexican Immigration After 9/11

New (and Old) Challenges

 

 


The Panel was held jointly by the Center from Immigration Studies and the Nixon Center. Among the panelists were Mark Krikorian, George Grayson, Steven A. Camarota who are all from the Center for Immigration Studies. The remaining panelists were Robert S. Leiken and Dimitri Simes of the Nixon Center. Participants talked about Mexican immigration to the U.S. after September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S. Among the topics they addressed were the demographics of Mexican immigrants, underlying reasons for immigration, and security challenges caused by illegal immigration. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience.
